About

2004

2004 is when it all started.

I got married to my high school sweet heart in 2004. In the same year I fell pregnant.

This was something that we didn’t plan nor had we prepared ourselves for.

What we had planned was to work for 2 years straight, save crazily and go on a world travel adventure for 1 whole year.

But that didn’t happen.

Although it came with a bit of learning and adapting too, parenting is the best thing that happened and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love being a Mom and my husband is a great Dad – in the end, it came quite naturally to us, something that I didn’t think would happen when I first found out I was pregnant.

So now, 12 years on, we have a 12 year old (going on 20), 3 year old (rascal) and 8 month old (jumping jolly – he never stops moving!).

This blog is all about me being a Mom and my family.

I am known for being a bit of a thrifty Mom (I was previously an accountant before I became a full time Mom) in my local Mothers group. But generally, I have a passion for learning new things.

I’ll share all the tips and tricks I have up my sleeve about being a parent that will make your life as a parent much easier and stress free.

I have heaps of recommendations for baby products and will share my experiences of the last 12 years of buying endless baby products so it makes it easier for you!

And for those who ask? Did we end up traveling? Yes we did, although not for an entire year, my husband got 3 months off work and we went on a family adventure – in fact that is when we fell pregnant with our 3rd child. We didn’t go around the entire world but it was a short break that was meaningful, family orientated and allowed us to conceive our 3rd child.

Remember, stay happy, stay healthy (mind and body) and be grateful!
